Red Lion Hotel Pendleton

For one night, this place was a great fit, especially traveling with dogs. The rooms are large, the beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows, plus a fridge and microwave. It isn't fancy, but it was clean and well stocked, with HBO, decent breakfast and coffee. The front desk staff were really kind.

The staff were great, except for the Asian woman who seemed to be in charge. She came across arrogant, rude and dismissive, and was rude to her own staff. The room was trashed and smelled like wet animals. There was rubbish under the beds, from candy wrappers to Gatorade bottles, beer cans and toilet paper. Hair was in the sheets, and mildew and mold covered the shower area and ceiling. Broken tiles, peeling wallpaper, a stained grid and what looked like 50-year-old carpet made the room feel neglected. The restaurant and lounge appeared to be for show and weren't operating, and there wasn't even a small coffee pot in the room. I've had cleaner, nicer budget motels. Sonesta should remove this hotel, and the health department should shut it down. It's a disgrace to the RLH and Sonesta names.

We stayed one quiet night in the fall. The room was clean, comfortable and had no odors. The king bed was really good, and the glass balcony doors and the lobby entrance doors were sparkling.

I travel a lot, and Red Lion meets my needs with great rates and staff. They make sure your needs are met. They've just started offering a little breakfast, and it's not too bad.
