Hampton Inn Pensacola-Airport (Cordova Mall Area)

Enrique was awesome. He tracked down a guest’s laptop that had been left in the common area and returned it, restoring the man’s peace of mind. The staff were the most professional I’ve seen in my 32 years of traveling, from the way they treat guests to how they run the hotel and attend to details. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was excellent. Thanks to everyone who made our company’s stay wonderful and productive. This is definitely where I’ll stay in Pensacola, and I’d recommend it. Great hotel!

I got stranded in Pensacola after my flight was canceled for weather and picked this hotel because it was near the airport. The room looked nice, but the night was miserable. It was about 48 and rainy outside, and the room was cold, so I turned on the heat. The thermostat light was so bright it lit up the whole room, and the refrigerator vibrated like a car idling. I woke around 3 a.m. freezing because the heat wasn’t working. After waking up repeatedly from the cold and light, I tried to shower, but neither the shower nor the sink had hot water. Cold worked at the sink; turning the hot valve got nothing. I could hear planes taking off in the morning, so the rooms don’t block much sound despite being so close to the airport. At the desk, the man didn’t seem concerned or apologize, and offered nothing for that night or a future stay. He just said he’d tell maintenance, without writing anything down. It left me thinking this was normal and nobody cared. That’s the main reason I’d never stay there again.

The staff were very nice, but the room was terrible. There was no hot water in either the sink or shower, so I had to take a cold shower. I told the front desk, and they sent maintenance, but they couldn’t fix it and only said there were pipe problems. The carpet was FILTHY and sticky too. After three hours, our socks were literally brown, and we didn’t want to walk on it without shoes. We were disappointed, especially since this is part of the Hilton chain. I’ve never had problems like this before.

The room was spacious, but smelled like wet dog. The bathtub wouldn’t drain, so I had to shower with water standing in the bottom, and there was no conditioner in the bathroom dispenser when I’d forgotten to bring my own. We checked in on the Hilton app when we arrived Sunday evening, so we didn’t need the counter, but two employees were there and didn’t greet us or even look our way. They were busy chatting. There were four of us, and as a Hilton Gold member I’m normally greeted with bottled water and snacks. I asked for bottled water and got asked if I wanted one or two, even though there were clearly four of us. I said two. Nobody offered snacks, and we just went up to the room. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you’re in the area.
