Hampton Inn & Suites Peoria at Grand Prairie, IL

After long days at a softball tournament, the shower water not being warm was extremely disappointing. We stayed two nights, and housekeeping didn’t clean the room during that time. They took the used towels but didn’t replace them, and the toilet paper was almost gone and never restocked. At first glance, this Hampton Inn & Suites looks outdated. It wasn’t filthy, but it also wasn’t very clean and didn’t meet the standard I expect from this brand. The stay was a letdown. I wouldn’t recommend it, and the Holiday Inn down the road is much nicer and better maintained.

Sharon A. made a billing question for my work associate’s extended stay painless. Calling hotels about billing or portfolio issues usually isn’t that easy. Thanks, Sharon, for being pleasant and so helpful.

We were there for a softball tournament and the shower was freezing cold. They apologized, but said the hotel was full and there was nothing they could do. At checkout I asked whether there’d be any compensation for the ice-cold shower. They gave me the manager Tiffany’s card and said she’d call, but she never did. I called a few times and left a message each time, and none of my calls were returned.

The location is great, with food, shopping, and highways all easy to reach. The hotel is showing its age and could use a refresh, and the exercise room is only marginally maintained.
