They still have stovetops, but took out the ovens, so we can't make cookies or do the things my grandparents and I used to enjoy here. We have a lot of good memories at this hotel, which makes that change especially disappointing. It's also a poor setup for anyone staying temporarily for work who wants to cook. During my stay, remodeling was going on and the banging overhead got so bad that I thought the ceiling might come down. The frying pan was scratched up, and the TV kept glitching. The last time I was here the pool looked cloudy, had things floating in it, and was dirty. Bad experience.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were nice, with a fully equipped kitchen and dishwasher. Connecting a game system or kids' tablet to the hotel internet takes a few steps: use your phone as a hotspot, open the internet on the device, then accept the hotel's terms. The pool was cold salt water. The hot tub wasn't filled and was out of service. Breakfast was a basic buffet.

The staff were friendly, and I enjoyed the continental breakfast. The pool was open, which was nice, but the hot tub was closed. This hotel used to be nicer and now feels run down. The mattresses were hard and old, and there wasn't a TV in the bedroom. When I asked for coffee, I was told at the front desk I could only have two cups, so I couldn't get the four I wanted to make it strong enough. The guy then said there was no more coffee, but early the next morning the manager found some for me.

We had a roomy, comfortable suite, and the room cleaners and maintenance crew were really friendly and did a great job keeping it clean. Most of the staff were super nice. The woman at the counter got involved in a disagreement my partner and I were having, which was private, and I didn't appreciate that. The hotel itself was nice. I just wish our suite had a TV in the bedroom too.

The location is good, and the rooms are clean, but the building feels worn and dated from the lobby through the rooms. The appliances barely work, and the bedroom was missing a second TV. If you want an 80s nostalgia vibe, you might enjoy it. The night receptionist was only so-so and not very courteous. They didn't thank me for my loyalty tier or ask which check-in benefit I wanted. I know that can sound snobbish, but it's standard practice everywhere and part of the job.
