Quality Inn Perry - National Fairgrounds Area

The bed was okay, but the bathroom was old, stained, and musty. Breakfast was awful: mostly junk, with yogurt about the only nutritious thing. The orange juice was brown and sour, and there was no peanut butter or jam for the English muffin. When we first went to our assigned room, someone else was already in it and using the bathroom. Unbelievable. The whole place felt pretty gross.

We had to switch rooms because the heater/AC unit in the first one banged so loudly we couldn't sleep. The room itself needs updating. Breakfast was inedible: no coffee, soggy sausage, premade egg patties, dirty waffle irons, brown orange juice, and overflowing garbage. The breakfast staff were on their phones and rushing out the door right at 8. Why did we stay here?

The staff were friendly and breakfast was a decent continental spread. The rooms could have been cleaned a little better, but it was about what you'd expect from a Quality Inn. Convenient for getting around the area.

They ultimately canceled the reservation and didn't charge me, even though it was nonrefundable. They knew how bad the rooms were. I had booked for my wife and kids, but they couldn't stay: the first room was covered in mold, including the beds and floors. In the second, the beds were stained and nasty and the AC didn't work. With no other hotels available, they tried a third room, which had roaches everywhere, so they gave up and left.
