The second room smelled bad too, and there was a two-inch gap beneath the door where little critters could get in. It also had a ceiling leak. The first room had a musty smell, several lights that didn't work, no working air, and a phone that wouldn't call the desk. The place was clearly under construction, and I wouldn't put a guest in rooms being remodeled. When I asked the front desk for a refund, she refused and offered another room. I asked for a crib; she said she'd check whether they had one with all its parts, but never came back. She didn't seem professional either, wearing a T-shirt with her chest exposed and flirting with a construction worker. I'd never stay here again.

The dog sniffing the bedspread was enough for me to ask for it to be changed, and the place wasn't very clean. We were traveling with my parents and their dog, so pet-friendly choices are limited. The rooms with two beds have full XL beds, no queens. The keys had to be reprogrammed twice, yet we still couldn't open the door on the first try. The restaurant only serves breakfast now, though I guess it used to be a nice full-service place. It looks like the owners also own the adjacent Days Inn, which seems equally run-down. If you need a cheap place to crash with no amenities, decrepit facilities, and sad service, this is it. Maybe suited to passing construction workers or kids looking to party.

Breakfast was a plus, with plenty of food served in a restaurant. The rooms were very small. We booked for five, but got a room with only two queen beds, and had to pay another $10 a day for a rollaway. Even though our booking was for five, I had to call every day for towels because they only left two.

I didn't actually stay at RAMADA, but after eating at the Green Derby Restaurant I nearly rented a room there too. The food was perfectly seasoned, not salty, which I loved. The place was clean and family-friendly, with a great selection of meats, farm-fresh vegetables, unbelievable desserts, and homemade iced tea and lemonade. There were about 11 of us celebrating my uncle's 77th birthday. We came close to closing time, but the owner, Mr. Jarvis, kindly stayed open for us. I drove down from Albany Ga, and the hour-and-a-half trip was well worth it. The staff were superb. The Green Derby is under new management now. Thank you, sir, for the hospitality.
