Holiday Inn & Suites Toledo Southwest - Perrysburg by IHG

The restaurant attached to the hotel is surprisingly good for a bar and grill, and the breakfast buffet is generous, tasty, and reasonably priced. The lobby also has snacks and toiletries for sale around the clock, including food you can microwave. The laundry room is clean and modern; after I got quarters from Jeremy, he even offered me detergent. The workout room was spotless and well equipped, everything worked, and they provide towels and filtered water. There's an indoor heated pool too. I'm here with my son for Christmas and New Year's week, a year after this hotel hosted my sister's memorial and celebration of life. During that earlier event, Peter was kind and supportive to my mom, and the whole staff helped us. This time, the rooms are incredibly comfortable, especially the beds, and immaculately clean. The staff greeted us by name. Jeremy checked us in with a great attitude and attention to detail, and gave us water bottles, which few hotels do anymore. The only other hotel I recall remembering my name was the Ritz in the 1990s. Rashaana helped me sort out a small problem unrelated to the hotel and treated me like an old friend. I really can't believe this is a Holiday Inn. It ranks with some of the nice, expensive Hiltons I've stayed at in big cities in California.

The staff were so friendly, and Patti at the front desk was especially open and kind. The beds and sheets were super soft and comfortable. From the location and amenities to the cleanliness, this Holiday Inn and Suites made for an A+ stay.

Matt checked us in and took care of the details with a personal touch. The chef also made us a fresh batch of French toast at breakfast after the buffet ran out. This was a great quick overnight stay: spotless place, spacious room, and friendly service. The area felt safe, with plenty of nearby food chains. We'll be back on our next road trip.

I've stayed here at least three or four times and I'm an IHG member, but it doesn't seem to matter. I asked for late checkout, since I didn't check in until 7 or 8 PM, and asked if I could leave at 1 instead of noon. At 8:00 AM, someone repeatedly banged on my door until I answered, then asked whether I'd be checking out soon. He admitted it was early but said he was curious. Management tried to make up for it by offering free breakfast, which is free for everyone anyway. Marriott is two miles down the road, and I'm also a Bonvoy member. Guess where I'll book next time.
