Residence Inn By Marriott Dallas Plano/Legacy

The staff were great and moved me to another room, but the stained sofa bed was already a bad sign. The next room was only somewhat better, and it left me feeling like they clean the surface without really deep cleaning. The location works, but the rooms aren’t up to standard. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

I wanted this hotel to work for us because the location and room layout suited my family, and the staff were friendly. But the room had a large roach dying in the bathroom, then I spotted two spiders while waiting to be moved. With young kids, I felt gross and spent the stay worrying more bugs might appear. We stayed the two nights anyway because moving elsewhere felt like too much hassle, especially after my card had been charged twice for the room. They apologized for the duplicate charge and refunded it, so that was a minor inconvenience. We had no bug issues in the second room, but the upholstery and curtains were stained and the rooms need updating. I don’t think I’ll return.

Elias made everything easy, even with my late arrival and early departure. His professionalism and genuine hospitality left a lasting impression, and I really appreciated how helpful he was. I had an excellent experience at this Marriott and will definitely be back because of his service. Highly recommend!

As long-time Marriott Bonvoy Platinum members, we found this far below Marriott standards. We didn’t feel safe in the suite, so we checked out right away and paid to move to another hotel. We arrived at the Residence Inn Dallas/Legacy in Plano (5001 Whitestone Lane) around 2 PM on December 5th, and the two-bedroom suite was in awful shape: cracked bathroom tile that was still cracking, a rusted tub drain, a visibly stained pillow, a strong odor, and an outdated, poorly maintained interior. It looked nothing like the online listing. Very disappointing.
