The beds were comfortable and we didn’t see any bugs, but the shower was dirty and the place needs a major facelift. The new owners seem to be putting in a lot of effort to upgrade it. If you just need a decent night’s sleep at a reasonable price, it’s a good option.

It was quiet, safe, and convenient, and the bed was cheap for a night along the highway. The linens and towels were OK. The floors weren’t clean, so I was glad I brought slippers and didn’t want to walk barefoot. The manager said their well water leaves rust stains and planned to start replacing the tile with vinyl flooring the following week.

The staff were amazing, from the housekeepers to the front desk. I’d left a couple of things in my room, and before I’d even pulled out of the parking lot, the housekeeper ran to my car to return them. She didn’t have to do that, and I’d never have known they were missing otherwise. Check-in was easy, and the clerk was knowledgeable and really friendly. At first sight, I was a little unsure about the place, but I’d definitely stay again and recommend it.

After about an hour, we decided there was no way we could sleep there. The one good thing was that the owner refunded our money because we’d stayed such a short time. In the first room, the fridge didn’t work and had old cheese inside. They moved us next door, where the AC barely worked and the room was warm. That fridge ran, but it had mold in it. The bathroom was disgusting, with a dirty floor and rust stains in the tub, and my kids’ feet were black after walking barefoot on the carpet. I’m convinced they just hang up used towels and make the beds without washing anything when guests leave. I attempted to stay here in July 2016, when it was an Econolodge. Deplorable doesn’t cover it.
