The staff were kind and understanding, and I think they were trying their best with a limited budget. The building and furniture were worn and stained, though, and I found a bug in the bed when I pulled back the blanket. We left within ten minutes because I didn't want to bring any little guests home. It was the only room available in town during our stay, which makes sense to me now. I should have checked the reviews first. If zero stars were possible, that's what I'd give.

I was supposed to stay for three weeks and had already paid the dog fee, but the front desk refused a partial refund when I checked out early, citing the hotel's no-refund policy for leaving three weeks ahead of schedule. The room itself was filthy, with dust everywhere, old food residue in the fridge, and a urine smell in the bathroom. The sink smelled bad too, the furniture and bed were partly broken, and there was a strong chemical odor. I don't know if I picked up bed bugs, but the place felt like a health hazard. When I raised these issues, some staff members were rude and unfriendly. Stay away.

We paid for two nights but lasted only one, and I'd sooner sleep in my car than stay again. The staff were very nice when I asked for a refund at check-in, but they couldn't give one. The room smelled moldy, the tub had mold, the curtains were broken, and the mini-fridge door fell off the first time we opened it. They had taped the bath fan cover to the wall with Scotch tape, and the fan didn't work. There were bullet holes in the entry door, and the toilet needed plunging if you used two squares of tissue or had a bowel movement. The pool was closed because the ceiling was falling down. The worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

We booked in advance because it was a Choice hotel, but the place was disappointing. The pool was closed indefinitely, and the office and parking lot were cluttered with roof shingles scattered around. Outside some rooms were coolers, which made us wonder if people were living there by the month. Inside, the fridge door came off when we opened it, and there was a leftover beer in it. The dirty curtains wouldn't close properly, and the beds sagged badly. We stayed only because the room and bathroom were fairly clean. At $55 a night, I guess you get what you pay for.
