Odawa Hotel

The staff were personable and lovely to talk to, especially Victoria. The hotel's location is brilliant, and the price is good. The rooms were okay, though a little dated, and the WiFi was pretty poor. I would've liked a few more hot breakfast choices, but that was a preference, not something I expected. The major issue was cleaning: I found blood stains on the comforter and on the pillow, though I didn't discover the pillow until after sleeping on it.

We’re heading back tomorrow and are really looking forward to it. The location and bay views are hard to beat, and Petoskey and the other nearby cities have lots to offer. There’s also a free shuttle to the casino for gambling and great entertainment. We’ve stayed at this hotel several times and have always had a fantastic experience. The staff and management are what make it so good, they’re friendly and super accommodating. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast is included and hits the spot, the pool is clean, and the hot tub is relaxing. It really is perfect!

It's well placed for skiing, with good restaurants nearby and easy access to downtown Petoskey and Harbor Springs. The main drawback for a stay of several nights is that there's no room service or overnight service, so you'll need to ask for fresh towels or to have the bed made. I didn't get to try the pool or hot tub since they were crowded at peak times. It was also unfortunate to see children there, even though it's a casino hotel.

The hot breakfast this time was a small improvement over my last visit, when they didn't have one and what they called breakfast was pitiful. I still couldn't bring myself to eat it. The omelets looked questionable and were just folded egg with no cheese. I was glad they at least had something for guests in the morning, but the Baymont next door beats them by a mile. There's no comparison.
