Best Western Plus Pflugerville Inn & Suites

Room 111 was a handicap room, but the bed sat on a very low platform. I don't understand why a handicap room would have a bed so close to the floor. The bigger issue was the AC. We told the desk receptionist as soon as we arrived, and she set it to continuous air and insisted it was working. I explained the compressor wasn't coming on, so it was only pushing room-temperature air. We had no AC all night, and sweating through the night was miserable. This could have been handled better. I paid $200, with $26 in taxes alone, and they offered just $40 off. Bad things happen, but no AC is a big deal, and that response didn't reassure me they'd look after their guests.

The breakfast was bangin, especially the scrambled eggs with cheese and homemade salsa. The coffee station was a great touch, too. My first-floor room had a lovely high ceiling, and the bed was super clean and comfortable. Everything felt clean and comfortable, and the staff did an awesome job. It was worth every penny. I'll be back whenever I'm in the Austin area.

Carter at the front desk turned a last-minute booking problem around. I'd booked through a third-party site while driving into town, and about 30 minutes after I arrived, the reservation still hadn't come through. He matched the online rate, took a little more off, and upgraded my room for free. The room and the service were excellent.

Noise kept me awake from 2 AM to 6 AM, with yelling, crying babies, and kids playing in the hall. The breakfast was dirty and awful, and the whole hotel smelled like sweat and marijuana. I also got bed bugs, had to pay for treatment, then faced a six-hour drive home without sleep. Staff had major attitudes and couldn't care less. I booked back in December. I called over several weeks to address these problems, but the manager never answered. I told the front desk about the pests and was only told they'd pass it to management. There's no truth to any claim that anyone tried to fix things, and I have the call logs to prove it. It's sad the hotel won't take responsibility. Their response says plenty. Don't stay here if you want sleep. Management and the hotel don't care about guests, just their money. Spend the extra $20-30 at the Courtyard across the street. I'd rather sleep on the street than return, and you couldn't pay me to stay here.
