The apartments are nice, Shanay is great, and the front desk staff are excellent. Management, though, has made living here miserable, so I can’t recommend it. When I was due to renew after a year, rent rose by over 800 dollars and my parking spot was taken away. In the middle of winter, I went around 3 months without hot water. Management may address problems, but they don’t actually get fixed. They send emails saying something is still broken and seem to count that as fixing it. They also reply to bad reviews as if every issue is someone else’s fault. After moving out, I paid my remaining utilities and the check was cashed. Two months later, I got a letter from collections, so now I have to dispute a charge that was already paid. Another management failure. They added wristbands to stop non-residents from using the roof and pool, but there’s nobody enforcing the rule. I’ve repeatedly seen non-residents up there and people smoking weed. The elevators break down regularly, whatever management may say in response. The building has good features, but the way management handles things overwhelms them.

Four months into a 24 month lease, I already feel trapped. The kitchen appliances flood every week. Last week I was told the drain problem was caused by me rinsing the coffee basket after dumping it in the trash. But yesterday the apartment flooded while I was doing laundry, and maintenance didn’t respond to the request I sent early that morning. At this price, this is no way to live.

I toured the property with my sister, who’s moving to the City of Brotherly Love, and Denise gave us a great experience. The views are stunning, the floor plans are spacious, and there are lots of amenities. I really enjoyed meeting the team. Thank you, Denise!

The roof smells horrible because of the dog park, and the elevators still break often. There may be more elevators than last year, but you still need to allow an extra 15 minutes to get in and out. The carpeted hallways are stained with dog pee, which I’ve watched happen, and dogs often run through them off leash. We were told the carpets would be replaced, but they haven’t been. I’ve also heard from other tenants that lower-level units have bug problems. The units are very humid, and I’ve met several tenants dealing with mold because of poor ventilation. Security is another concern. Non-residents are regularly in the pool area smoking weed and throwing parties. There’s a wristband policy now, but you have to pay 10 dollars to bring a guest. A friend of mine went three months without hot water in the dead of winter. They refunded the water bill, as they should, but the renewal offer was still a hefty increase, 1000 dollars total when factoring in the deals. That’s nuts. Staff can be nice before you sign, but don’t assume that will last. A sunset yoga class once a week doesn’t make up for 1000 dollars, especially when hardly anyone attends. 1500 locust is misleading about the property’s real quality. If I could give zero stars, I would.
