Living in this building has had good parts: management responds to residents, the facilities are clean and well maintained, and the location is convenient. But the elevators keep breaking down, and the reason management gives, difficulty getting replacement parts, may not be the whole story. We residents came to understand that cost concerns and an unwillingness to invest in upgrades could be behind it. That leaves people with disabilities, or anyone moving in or out with heavy belongings, facing multiple flights of stairs. It’s exhausting and can be dangerous. Some stairwells are also poorly lit, making them harder to use at night and unsafe for residents and visitors. The elevator problem needs prompt attention. Residents shouldn’t have to live with these inconveniences and safety risks because management is reluctant to fund needed repairs or upgrades. That disregard for comfort and safety deserves serious attention, even though other parts of the building have been positive.

The two years I lived here were the best rental experience I’ve had. They responded quickly and took care of any problems that came up.
A great range to choose from, and the people and customer service were great too.
Prefab.
I’ve had a very bad experience in apartment 202 over the last two years. I wouldn’t have renewed after year one, but I was buying a home and they wouldn’t offer me a lease shorter than 12 months. Check the building’s communal Facebook page to see what tenants have been saying. The biggest day-to-day problem is how much sound comes through the thin walls and ceiling. I hear everything from upstairs, footsteps, water turning on and off, cabinets slamming, desk-chair wheels, phone calls, and conversations in my next-door neighbor’s living room. The bedroom backs onto the staircase, so stomping there often wakes me up. On 6/2/26, I added that my washing machine had been broken for two weeks. I was moving out soon and tired of chasing maintenance about it. The maintenance guy is a creep who barges in whenever he wants, ignoring appointment windows. Once, a realtor came in with someone touring the wrong room. I was asleep and it freaked me out. The windows need resealing and don’t retain heat. My electric bill was almost $1000 between 12/15/25 - 2/15/26, and rain gets through during storms, leaving puddles on the sills. Hot water runs out after 15 minutes. If you care about your skin and hair, you’ll also need a filtered shower head. The trash shoot jams often, and OCF can take weeks to fix it. Trash piles up in each trash room and the stink spreads across the whole floor. Common areas are filthy. The lobby might get cleaned once a month, or less often if nobody complains. They vacuum the staircase and elevators but never mop them. I doubt the gym is cleaned at all. I stopped using it a couple of months into my first year because there were too many bugs down there. The building has never washed the windows, which are fogged with dirt and scum. Renters are told to provide window screens if their unit doesn’t have them. Elevators can’t be reserved for moving in or out. The fire alarms are another problem. When they sound, you’re stuck listening. The lobby alarm goes off for hours every day. One weekend, an alarm in a vacant unit down the hall from me kept going for no reason. The fire company came, but couldn’t do anything because nobody from OCF was working to let them in. I listened to it all weekend. I pay for a parking space. Snow removal was covered in my first year. In my second, they said it wasn’t included in my lease, though they still sent guys to shovel, and they did a terrible job. If I hadn’t had a truck, I would’ve been screwed.
