The only small hassle was finding the street entrance and parking. Once inside, it was pristine, lively, and a fun change from the ordinary. The hotel has a good-sized space with a boutique feel, and local artists are featured throughout, with their work available to buy. Our room had a New York loft style with an industrial look, and lovely views of a historic brick church next door and city lights farther downtown. There’s a bar and restaurant off the lobby, with a lively atmosphere and delicious food. The staff were great. I’d definitely come back.

Found:Re Phoenix has gorgeous rooms, fun art, and a great downtown location. I’ve stayed there five times, visiting Phoenix from Northern Arizona for concerts, and the modern industrial look keeps drawing me back. The dual faucet sink in the shower is ideal for shaving, the rotating art makes you feel cultured just by sleeping there, and the restaurant downstairs is solid. The pool is modest, though the music plays late if your room is right beside it. It's stylish, quirky, and Instagram bait. I keep coming back like a moth to an expensive, smug flame. The front desk is the fatal flaw. Across different stays and shifts, I've met most of the staff, and the general vibe is smug superiority. Courtesy and helpfulness seem absent. Each interaction feels like you're interrupting them while they look bored and annoyed that you exist. At this point, it’s almost performance art. On stay five, parking finally pushed me over the edge. The lot behind the hotel is an ordinary urban concrete rectangle, managed by two third parties: one charges you by QR code, the other boots your car. You scan, pay, and hope it worked. Sometimes your card gets charged but the system doesn't record the payment, and then there's a boot on your wheel and you're late for whatever brought you to Phoenix. You go back to the desk for help, but the attitude is basically, “Not our circus, not our monkeys.” Compassion seems optional here, right after “smirk convincingly.” The place has incredible bones, but the front desk treats guests like inconvenient annoyances. It's like dating someone gorgeous who keeps reminding you they're out of your league. The rooms keep seducing me, but next time I may admire them from a distance and find somewhere the staff don't make me feel like I'm begging for basic human decency. If you like industrial chic and can handle the attitude, go for it. Just pay for parking twice, bring your own smile, and lower your check-in expectations.

Someone put a lot of work into the unusual decorations, but customer service didn't get the same attention. I wouldn't come back. We paid a premium Saturday rate, and the room got uncomfortably warm because the air conditioner didn't work. The desk attendant admitted they knew before check-in and hadn't told us. There was no apology or discount. They'd assured me there was plenty of trailer parking, but all they had was a private lot charging at least $30 per vehicle, with no room for my small trailer. The room phone didn't work, the TV was faulty, and some lights were out.

I still like the FOUND:RE for its location, one-of-a-kind rooms, art installations, and service on earlier visits. I've been here three or four times. This trip, though, the front desk seemed scattered and unprepared. To be fair, the woman said it was her first day, but where was the experienced person training her? The room was mostly like the ones I've had before, except the shower had mold in every corner. The whole room felt shabby and worn. I can accept some aging and wear, but not mold in the shower. I've attached a picture with my other photos. Parking has changed too. I've used both valet and self-parking here before, but now it's self-parking only at $32 a day. If I'm paying that much per night, I don't think I should have to park the car myself. The place is still cool and unique, but it hasn't aged well, and they need to sort out the parking.

For adults, there’s a nice bed and pillows, a sexy shower, a fun outdoor patio, and the metro is close by. Each room has cute pink pens, and the daily $15 food credit brings people to the inviting restaurant downstairs. Elevators are slow. It was December, and crime seemed pretty low. Parking in the back costs $35 a day. I found the art demonic and inappropriate, so I wouldn't bring children here.
