The bathroom was filthy, with roaches all over, hair blocking the shower drain, and a smell that made me gag. When I turned on the light, bed bugs moved from the mattress onto my luggage. I'd just checked in and found a roach crossing the supposedly clean bedspread. I showed the manager the bathroom, and he accused me of bringing the roaches. I didn't bring the roach party, pal, I crashed it. Their security rules also felt criminalizing: visitors have to show ID at the front office. The little manager could barge into your room if you didn't comply, and the doors don't lock properly. He came in while I was, ahem, getting settled, then kicked me out for not following the rules. I had to scramble to cover up as he yelled at me. Avoid Premier Inns Metro Center like the plague. Filthy and vile, with staff attitudes to match. Zero stars, don't waste your money.

After driving nine hours to Phoenix, Arizona, with my family, we got there only to find our reservation had been canceled. I booked because the website clearly said pay at hotel, but they ran my card anyway, and when the payment didn't go through, they left us stranded. Expedia basically told me it was our fault, even though the hotel ignored its own stated policy. That's absolutely unacceptable. Don't stay here if fair treatment matters to you.

The whole property smelled like marijuana, and there seemed to be no soundproofing at all. The freeway noise was incredibly loud. Inside, floor tiles were missing, the bathroom vanity was gone, leaving holes in the wall, and the drywall patches were shoddy. I made my family keep their shoes on because of the floor. I felt so unsafe that I nearly took them to sleep in the car in another part of town. Without a doubt, this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

Zelle at the front desk was kind, helpful, and the best staff member there. The two young women I spoke with earlier that day showed me no customer service when I asked for a downstairs accessible room for my husband. They told me to come back at four. When I returned, Zelle was at the desk, met our needs, and found a downstairs accessible room. He deserves recognition. Thank you.
