Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia Valley Forge/Collegeville

I was charged too much for my stay, got unclear communication, and still haven't received a refund for the difference. There's not much to do here, and the rooms are pretty ordinary. The only free coffee is the disappointing single-serve stuff in the room. I'd pick Hampton instead, since breakfast and coffee are included in the room price and covered by a per diem.

The room was really comfortable, and Alana was so warm and welcoming every time we came through the door. I also want to thank Ryan. I was completely at fault for a mistake, but the staff went out of their way to sort it out for me.

We booked online easily for the night of our wedding in Collegeville PA, and getting to the hotel was simple. The rooms were clean and modern. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a one-bedroom suite. It was spacious, with a couch, sitting area, and a small kitchenette setup. They also gave us complimentary vouchers for breakfast at the hotel cafe, which was a bonus since they have Starbucks. A few friends stayed there too and had only good things to say.

We spent two nights here for a wedding. It worked as a weekend option, but a few fixes would make it better. The cafe in the lobby closes at 9:30 am, which felt much too early on a weekend when wedding guests may be out late and would rather not travel for breakfast. We heard others wanted breakfast too, so the hotel may be missing sales as guests go somewhere nearby. Our room was very clean, but the pillows were small, flat, and uncomfortable. Other reviews mention them, yet they still haven't been addressed. The AC and heat controls were also confusing. I got the room warm after a couple of tries, though a simple instruction note would help guests.
