Rodeway Inn On The Parkway

We couldn’t get another room because the place was completely booked for the holiday, and they don’t offer refunds or discounts, so we had to stay. My boyfriend had bedbug bites, and I told the front desk. When I checked the other bed, the sheets were dirty and had hair on them. Management said they only change sheets after guests leave because they also look after two other motels. I finally talked them into changing ours. The place was filthy, and it seemed like they knew about the bedbugs. Don’t stay here.

The rooms are old and dirty. We found roaches and a brown recluse, called the owner, and he did nothing. We also noticed they don’t move things to clean. He was nice, but the room we were shown looked great and was empty, which I can see why now. Our door wouldn’t even lock, and he wouldn’t answer the door. We were charged $71 after being told $59. He lied to us. We won’t be back. Sucks.

It was quiet and felt like home, and the staff made us feel welcome. My family and I were really happy with our stay. It’s friendly toward kids and pets, too. I’d recommend this homey place 1000%.

The room hadn’t been cleaned in who knows how long. The bedding was stained, there was stuff all over the floor, and we found roaches. The door lock was dead too, so we were told to call the front desk every time we went out and needed to get back in. That was especially frustrating on a weekend away with a kid. They wouldn’t give us a refund, even though cleanliness and basic maintenance weren’t being taken care of. We won’t return. If I could give zero stars, I would.
