Four Points by Sheraton Charlotte - Pineville

The location is nice, but the hotel feels old and smells that way too. The room carpet looked filthy, the pillows weren't comfortable, and the bed was extra firm. Both the desk light and bedside fixture felt loose enough to fall off. Even the little lobby had an old, worn, torn office chair visible from check-in. I was glad it was only one night. I probably won't stay again until the place is updated.

I slept really well because it was so quiet, with no hallway noise or sound from either neighboring room. The location was handy too, near restaurants and a mall. My first-floor double queen room was clean, a decent size, and had high ceilings, a couch, coffee table, fridge, and microwave. It was a little dated, and one side of my bed had a huge dip that I kept rolling into all night. At breakfast there were waffles you could make yourself, eggs, and the usual continental choices. The service was just okay. Both desk attendants seemed annoyed and weren't very friendly. Still, I'd stay again if needed because of how quiet it was.

The room and bathroom were clean, and the shower pressure was good. The bed was soft and comfortable too. It was my first stay with this hotel brand, in a quiet area not far from a supermarket and restaurants. The room and TV were a bit dated. I don't watch cable and wish the TV had Netflix. I pretty much enjoyed my stay.

I emailed the hotel manager about my experience, but still haven't heard back. Sebastian was great at check-in, and Mr. Salas helped by shipping my mouth guard, but checkout with Dee was a different story. She was in the back office on her phone, and I spoke twice before she answered. When I asked whether I needed to do anything to check out, she said, “no...have a good day.” She came across as dismissive and rude. I've worked for five hotels over the years, so I know what a front desk agent is expected to do when dealing with guests. Things started well and went downhill quickly. I thought the manager should know.
