Ocean Palms Motel

I was tired and driving late from San Francisco to LA, so I needed somewhere to sleep. I’d stayed here a couple years earlier with my son and had a great time. I called while on the road, and the person I spoke with was very nice, though I feel like a big dork because I can’t remember her name. She noticed I was a repeat customer, gave me a great rate, and was professional and friendly. It was a relief to have a place for the night. The hotel was clean and safe, with comfy beds, a microwave, fridge, and more. Booking was seamless and easy, and it was a great stay. I’m writing a great review because they deserve it.

The staff were friendly, and the service was good overall. It’s close to the beach and surrounded by nice restaurants, and the room was clean and nice. It had full amenities: a refrigerator, hairdryer, microwave, coffee maker, iron, and TV. I’d recommend it for the location and cleanliness. Taking off one star because parking is limited and the bed was a bit noisy and sunken, which affected comfort slightly.

During our two-week stay, we were well looked after. The owner/manager regularly checked whether we needed anything, and the day staff did an exceptional job servicing our room. Highly recommend, and we’re looking forward to staying again.

I was exhausted and just wanted a decent night’s sleep. I wasn’t asking for much, only hoping the room wouldn’t smell bad. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised by how cute and clean it was, with no bad smell at all. The pillows were arranged nicely, there was a coffee maker, and everything was in great condition. They make a nice room seem easy to provide. I slept more than I have in a while, and I’m so glad I stayed. If I’m in this area again, I’ll definitely return. The cute little room is almost reason enough to visit.
