Hyatt House Pittsburgh/Bloomfield/Shadyside

I came to visit my nana at the hospital next door, and having such a pleasant place to stay helped during a hard time. The area seemed reasonably decent, the room was clean, service was quick, and the employees were kind. The coffee was amazing, and so was the bar. We had a lot of fun there. Our bartender was Daj, who was awesome, made great drinks, and gave amazing customer service. 10/10!!

Vanessa at the Hyatt House in Pittsburgh made our arrival feel easy and welcoming. She greeted us with a genuine smile, patiently walked us through what we needed to know, and handled everything efficiently without rushing us. Her attention to detail and warm manner set a lovely tone for the visit. She was friendly while still providing a high level of service, and went above and beyond to make check-in smooth and stress-free. We appreciated her kindness so much. She’s a real asset to the Hyatt House team, and we’re grateful she started our trip on such a positive note.

The beds were amazing and everything was so clean. We were exhausted and desperately needed a room at 5 in the morning after coming back from Children’s Hospital. Everyone was so kind and accommodating, and they even worked with us the next day to get a very late checkout so we could sleep. The staff here are the BEST!!!!!!!!!! They went above and beyond to make us comfortable, and despite the bad weather, we felt safe. It’s a beautiful hotel too, under different circumstances I wish we’d had more time to spend here. Thank you so much, truly. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

For a longer stay, the room’s kitchen, microwave, and dishwasher were useful, and the staff were very polite. I enjoyed the stay overall, but the room often smelled musty. We eventually found that the dishwasher was clogged with quite a bit of dirty food water. We hadn’t used or opened it, and I think that contributed to the humidity and odor. We didn’t discover it until our last day, so some of that was on us. The thermostat was a bit finicky too. The TV’s HDMI ports couldn’t be reached, which was disappointing since we were visiting family and hoped to use a game console. We had to Google Cast for streaming, and that only worked some days because the Wi-Fi sometimes wasn’t strong enough to load a show.
