The location is ideal, close to plenty of convenient retailers and the parkway, Hwy 375. The rooms have improved a lot overall, with upgrades over the past couple of years. They’re clean and include the items described. Everyone on staff I’ve met has been courteous and helpful.

We chose this place because dogs are allowed. It’s a little off the beaten path, not actually in Monroeville as advertised, though fairly close. The room and bathroom were clean, with no carpeting, but the bedspread had cigarette burns. There were lots of kids and people who seemed to be social services clients. It felt relatively safe. Breakfast was extremely basic, while service was friendly and helpful. They quickly fixed an incorrect charge on our bill. Not a great place, but for the price it wasn’t the worst.

I was charged $10 when I checked out, even though I’d already told the person in charge I was leaving. Nobody had told me about a late fee; they just told me to look it up on the website afterward. There weren’t even towels in the room. Basic amenities weren’t provided. Zero stars for this place.

We wanted this hotel to work since it’s closest to our family, but we left within 30 minutes of getting to our room and went somewhere else. One of us had checked in earlier and had to ask for the linens to be changed because of mystery stains. The smell was the final straw: caustic cleaners, mildew, and pet odors under a layer of paint, enough to give us an almost immediate headache. There was mold around the window and no screens, so we couldn’t leave it open for air. The furniture was split, cracked, missing chunks, and water-stained, despite the claim that the place had been recently updated. We suspect that meant mainly replacing the flooring with LVP. There was also mystery sludge on the wall. The bathrooms seemed clean, at least, and functional. It may be the most affordable and closest option for us in the area, but unfortunately we won’t stay there again.

A couple walked right into my husband’s room during his work trip last night. It could be a nice place, but apparently they’re handing out keys to rooms that are already occupied. Hotel privacy and safety matter, and this place failed badly on both.
