The building has lovely historic architecture, and I liked all the antique pictures. The problems were breakfast and the way a bar employee handled an issue at my son’s wedding. They didn’t carry Corona, so I brought one I already had down to the party. A woman at the bar spotted it, came across the room, and loudly told me I couldn’t have it there. She then got another man, who repeated that I couldn’t have it and took the beer from me. For an event people pay a lot to hold, I expected a more professional way of speaking to a customer. Breakfast wasn’t satisfactory either. The $15 order was all on croissants, sausage, egg, and cheese, and it seemed like everything had been microwaved. The order was wrong, and the server didn’t seem happy to be there.

We held our daughter’s wedding ceremony and reception here in June 2024, and having everything at one venue made the day ideal. We didn’t have to travel between the ceremony, photo spots, and reception, and hosting our out-of-town guests in the hotel made the whole occasion more relaxing. The historic architecture, grounds, and service were perfect as a backdrop for our event. It was a remarkable hotel and venue.

We got married here last year, and the day went perfectly. The place is gorgeous and the food was great, but what stood out most was how kind and helpful the staff were. They took a lot of stress off us and made the whole day wonderful.

I officiate weddings and have presided over ceremonies at the Mansion. The staff are wonderful to work with. Zach, the event coordinator, especially stands out. He always seems to go out of his way to make each event special.

This is a 5/5 wedding venue, but only a 2/5 hotel. The front desk reissued our room key to other guests, who woke us at 1 am. The valet service was also poor: another wedding guest was told staff didn’t know where the car was, so the guest had to find and retrieve it themselves.
