The Westin Pittsburgh, a Marriott Hotel

The standard rooms are pretty basic, while the rest of the hotel feels high quality. It's a beautiful place in a great location, very clean, and the staff are friendly. The gym is excellent, and the lobby bar and Grill serves good food and stays open late.

We had such an easy time getting to and from the game. The T is close by, and there's a free way to get there. Shannon at the front desk even gave us a map and showed us how to use it. She also explained how to connect our Marriott Bonvoy account with other apps to earn more points, and pointed us toward good local food. She was one of the best hotel staff members I've ever dealt with, and she went out of her way to help from the moment we checked in. Our room was spotless, a great size, and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. The sports bar inside the hotel was so good that we didn't need to go out for dinner, and having a Starbucks downstairs was a nice extra. We loved the stay and would happily come back.

I was there for an event and didn't stay in a room, so I can't rate those. The plated meal for more than 300 guests was hot, fresh, and delicious, which is quite a feat. The banquet facilities were excellent. Valet parking was useful, though it felt a bit expensive.

We spent our three-day wedding weekend at The Westin Pittsburgh, with guest rooms booked for our group. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, and the location worked perfectly for our venue. Amy, The Westin’s event administrator, was incredibly responsive and professional, and helped us throughout the weekend. She met us when we arrived for the rehearsal dinner and arranged a special food and drink setup for our guests. Amy went beyond what we expected and made everything easier. For a convenient, dependable place to stay for a downtown Pittsburgh wedding, The Westin is a great option, and Amy took wonderful care of us.
