Ashley Motel

I checked in around 3 p.m. today, and so far I’m enjoying my stay. The room was very clean, the water gets really hot, and the AC is ice cold. The fridge, microwave, TV, and lights all work well. I believe the owner checked me in, and he was respectful, as was I. *4-14-25*

I’m glad I read the reviews before booking because I would never spend my money somewhere that treats customers this way. I haven’t stayed at this hotel, so my one star is about the owner, not the property itself. His childish replies to reviews seem ridiculously unprofessional, and other people describe similar behavior in person. Save yourself the hassle and go to Clarion Pointe instead. It’s a much nicer hotel with better service and similar prices.

We were trying to find somewhere to shelter from a severe storm, but the man treated us disrespectfully. Our reservation didn’t list a check-in time, so we arrived thinking we could check in. My boyfriend only asked a question politely, yet the man answered rudely and slammed the door in his face, leaving us outside in the cold and snow. We had to find another hotel or motel that would take us in. That evening, he called my boyfriend to complain about our review and refused to refund us. We did find a nearby place for the same price, and it was clean with excellent service. It was White House Suites Hotel.

The place looked nice from outside, so I made a reservation the night before. When we arrived at 5:50 in the morning, I rang the bell and the owner said he wouldn’t let us in because they didn’t open until 8. I explained that I’d booked the night before so we’d have somewhere to sleep. He just shut the door in my face. I know it was early, but he could have checked my ID at the office and handed over the key, which would’ve taken about ten minutes. Instead, he was rude and disrespectful. I’ve stayed at a lot of motels and wouldn’t recommend this one. Update: The owner called and said the computer wouldn’t let him check us in, even though I’d paid beforehand. I’m not getting my money back, which seems to be all he cares about. How hard would it have been to check my ID and give us the keys? The reviews calling him rude, disrespectful, and a cry baby are true.
