We expected a few snags while the property was changing from La Quinta to Spark, but the stay was disappointing. Someone held the elevator while chatting, even though I was already standing inside as a guest. A man opened our room door without knocking, and workers parked in handicap spots. I was also unhappy with how the owner or manager, whoever he was, treated guests. The new property took things away but raised the price. Other hotels were much busier and welcoming visitors. With what was missing, this place wasn't worth the jacked-up rate.

The kids liked the pool, and the beds were comfortable. Hilton has taken over this older hotel as it has with other Spark properties, and the room had everything we needed. Our only issue was that the AC in the first room wouldn't cool. The front desk associate responded quickly and promptly moved us to another room.

Since the rebrand, the price has gone up by $30 to $40 a night while the quality has dropped. Breakfast went from a 3 out of 5 to a zero. The new brand seems to think it can charge more and do less for guests.

Hilton quality without a high price. Great value.

Traveling with a cat went really smoothly here, and I’d happily come back. A coffee maker in the room would’ve made the stay even better.
