Aloft by Marriott Plano

The location worked well for us, just a couple of minutes by car from the Legacy shopping center. We’ve now tried two Aloft hotels in the Dallas area after enjoying an Aloft in Japan last year, but the US stays haven’t matched that level. The lobby and rooms look much like the locations in Japan. The loft rooms are smaller than some suites with bigger sitting areas, but there’s enough space for a bed and a small work table, so they’re fine for a shorter visit. Our biggest disappointment was the “free” breakfast included with our status. We ordered three bacon, egg and cheese biscuits with lettuce and tomato. They were even smaller than the photo, just a tiny biscuit for $8, with nothing else. For a breakfast described as free, either as an optional add-on or a Bonvoy perk, I expected more than a little sandwich. Bottled drinks cost extra, though coffee was free.

The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the room stayed nice and cold at night, just how I like it. The front desk was quick and friendly, and having drinks and snacks in the lobby was handy. After checkout, I realized I’d left my reading tablet in the room. Sarah and the team quickly confirmed they’d found it, explained the shipping steps, and kept me updated. They even rushed it to the mail store that same day so it could get to me as soon as possible. I’m so grateful for how far they went to help. I had a great stay at the Aloft Plano on Oct 23, 2025.

As a Black man who travels often for business, I appreciated how respectful and inclusive everyone was. The hotel felt comfortable and safe, and every staff member was courteous. The place was clean, quiet and well-managed. Sarah at the front desk made the stay personal with her warmth, professionalism and attention to detail, from check-in through checkout. Her hospitality really stood out. I’ll be back.

Micheal at the front desk deserves a shout-out. He was friendly and professional, made check-in easy and gave great service throughout my stay. I had a great visit!
