Plano Inn & Suites

A quiet place that still has some life to it, and a great deal for the money. One of the best little finds in DFW. With the modernization coming, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets busier.

For the price, I can't complain, and I'd recommend it to anyone heading to a convention on a budget. The convention centers are about half an hour away, with a Walmart, restaurants, and gas stations nearby. Check-in and checkout were smooth with a pre-booking. My room had a microwave, TV, and tall mini fridge; the bed was comfy, the AC worked well, and there was plenty of hot water. It was cleaned daily and the towels were replaced. Wi-Fi was fast enough for most things. There were cockroaches, which are common in the area, but they didn't bother me much. I kept my stuff off the floor and they seemed to leave it alone. It's no five-star hotel, of course.

The rooms were affordable and clean, and mine had a king bed in a one-bedroom setup, plus a stove, refrigerator, and microwave. The AC worked, and I had a nice view from the third floor. It was quiet and didn't smell like a bar. The manager welcomed us, and the staff were nice. With so many shops and places to eat nearby, the location was perfect. I'd definitely stay here again.

The beds are hard, and the door jammed again today, leaving me locked out for five minutes. That's the tenth time! Roaches are out of control, and there were dead bugs on the floor and in the freezer, plus little lizards darting around the corners. The place isn't luxurious like the hotels you can see outside, just five minutes away. Still, for the price you get a huge TV and fridge, and a beautiful marble shower wall. If you're on a budget, here it is, but I'd look at those nearby luxury hotels.
