Point Pleasant Inn

There were stains all over the curtains, hair on the bathroom floor, and hardly any soap. It was loud too, with people upstairs audible at midnight. Maybe it's fine for a one-night stay, but I wouldn't choose this motel for long term. The place was horrible.

The owner seemed nice, but the pricing policy needs work. I saw rooms advertised at $74 a night and was quoted $95 when I called, though they agreed to the $74. When I needed to extend my stay, they wanted $300 a night and would take $250 for just one night. The place had vacancies, and there weren't any local events to explain a price jump. It felt like greed, so I passed.

I liked the small studio for my one-night stay. It was renovated and comfortable, and everything else looked very nice. The problem was the dirty sheets and pillowcases, with yellow stains. I couldn't sleep under those blankets. If I stay again, I'll bring my own sheets. I'd suggest washing the white sheets with Clorox so they look clean and tidy. Just a tip, since it all looked dirty.

The owner treated me like family when I was in a tough spot. I had a blood clot and couldn't walk, so he called an ambulance and moved me to the first floor. He didn't bother me about paying at 11, and waited patiently instead. When we were snowed in, he went above and beyond to help. The staff were good to me, and the motel was clean and kind. They also helped when my car battery died, and he gave me a discount for staying two weeks. I'd recommend this place to anyone. It's the best motel I've ever stayed at.
