Sunset Motel

The location isn't close to much, apart from three gas stations on the corner and a Latin restaurant next door. The price also affected my score, though I've learned everything in California is overpriced. The parking lot gets pretty busy in the evenings, and the other guests made me uncomfortable. The outside gives off a strong drug dealer and street walker vibe, but the room itself was fairly decent and well kept. The floors and walls were clean, with no damage or marks, and the bed was comfortable. The pillows were cheap as shyt, though, and I needed about five per person. Honestly, it wasn't that bad.

We'd definitely return the next time we're in Pomona. Even though it's a low cost place in a city far from home, we felt completely safe. There was nobody loitering around, and it stayed quiet the whole time. It's nothing fancy, and a few dresser drawers in our room were missing their handles, but that didn't matter to us. The room was spotless and smelled nice, and there's free Wi-Fi. If all you need is a clean, quiet place to sleep, this works.

The room was clean, but very bare and plain. What put me off was the employee checking us in, who wouldn't put her phone down. Our key didn't work, so she had to let us into the room while still on her phone. We never got a working key, and when we returned from our event at midnight, she had to come open the door again. I won't stay there again.

I was on vacation with my one year old son and booked a two bed room. They charged me, then told me they were out of those rooms. It took almost four days to get my refund, so I was out $100 during the trip. The front desk man, who was the manager, was horrible. He even threatened me by asking whether I was going to kill him. His wife stayed quiet while he yelled at me in front of my child instead of stepping in to help. If I could, I wouldn't give this place even one star.
