Aqua Mar Condos

The woman overseeing the place is lovely, and everything is kept very clean. I enjoyed the canal side and the pool, and we had a lovely week. The condo has everything you need for cooking and dishes, though bring a scrubbie, extra dish and t-towels since they only provide two, Kleenex, and paper towels. They do provide two beach chairs and one beach towel per person, with fresh towels twice a week. There's a washer and dryer on site, but remember to plug in the washer, someone likes to unplug it. The decor and vibe are Golden Girls, and the beds aren't the best. It's an easy walk to the beach.

The manager is really friendly and always ready to help. We enjoyed the facilities in room 2 so much that we returned to this condo for another 38 days after our first 18-day stay. Everything is clean, and the garden and pool are lovely places to watch the boat and yacht parades. We often used the barbecue with that beautiful view. We really loved staying here and recommend it.

We borrowed beach toys from the laundry room for our daughter, and returned them after the beach. It was such a thoughtful touch, since we didn't have to buy things we couldn't take home on our flight. There are books to borrow, puzzles, games, and lounge chairs and umbrellas in the condo. We spent lots of time in the heated pool by the Intracoastal and at the beach. The pool is open dusk to dawn, so some nights we stayed in it past 1am. Our one-bedroom had a living room and kitchen, Direct TV and wifi. Our older daughter slept on the pull-out sofa, and our youngest shared the large king bed with us. The condos and grounds were immaculate, with grills and a laundry room. The view over the Intracoastal is incredible, and the beach is about a four-minute walk, just a block away. Sandra, the property manager, is professional, friendly, and laid back. You can tell she takes pride in maintaining the place and giving guests a superb stay. For our family of four, the nine days in June 2017 were wonderful. It cost much less than nearby hotels while giving us more room and amenities. We loved Aquamar and the Pompano Beach/Ft Lauderdale area, and we'll return. It's about a 20-minute drive from the airport. We'd recommend it to friends and family. We ended up at Aqua-Mar Condos after Hurricane Ian meant we couldn't keep our booking in Daytona Beach. We were in #23, a one-bedroom deluxe corner room on the second floor. Watching boats in the canal was fun, especially the big party boats on Saturday nights with lots of great music. The place was very clean, the office lady was friendly and helpful, and it's an easy walk to Publix, Walgreens, and Pompano Beach, just a couple of minutes away. The kitchen was full-sized but had no dishwasher. There were two BBQs on site, towels were changed twice weekly, and bedding once a week. We had a large flatscreen in the living area and a small one in the bedroom. Two beach chairs and an umbrella were in the closet. Some construction was underway, which made the balcony noisy on certain days. Updating the decor would bring this up to five stars.
