Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach / Oceanfront

We’re locals and bring our grandchildren and two dogs here for fun weekends several times a year. The beach, pool, hot tub, and sand play area keep the kids happy and entertained. The hotel staff are the best, always welcoming and quick to respond to requests so we can have a good time. The valet, front desk, and Zoë’s restaurant teams all remember us. They’re all five stars, and many have been there for years.

We loved the room, and the view was brilliant. The bed was decently comfortable, and the washer and dryer worked great with the supplied detergent. When we somehow misplaced the TV remote, probably our fault, a maintenance worker brought a replacement within 10 minutes. The hotel restaurant was wonderful too, and I’d recommend the short ribs. Anastasia at the front desk was absolutely lovely, always greeting us and asking how we were. The valet staff smiled and greeted us as well. The attentive service made it worth every penny and made our vacation memorable.

My wife and I travel a lot and have stayed at plenty of Marriott properties, with more than 600,000 Bonvoy points between us. This one really stood out. The rooms are great, with a washer and dryer in the room, and the staff were wonderful. Special thanks to Anastasiia at the front desk and Ari at Zoe’s restaurant, who both went above and beyond. We’re very grateful. Breakfast was better than usual, too. If it fits your budget, I can’t recommend the Residence Inn Pompano Beach / Oceanfront enough. It was wonderful. Our room was nice, but the rest felt like it was running on island time times three. We waited 17 minutes for one drink and 29 minutes for our valet-parked car. All parking is off-site, and they won’t let you retrieve your car yourself. You can wait half an hour for your own vehicle, parked about a football field away with no security cameras or attendant. The valet just walked over to bring one car at a time. We got to breakfast an hour and a half before it ended, but the bacon was gone and no tables were clean. The breakfast was the usual sort of spread, similar to Comfort Suites: waffles, bacon, sausage, eggs, cereal, and oatmeal. The pool closes at 8 PM, so there’s no night swimming, though other photos show people swimming at night. There was only one garbage can in the bathroom, and it filled up quickly.
