Best Western Plus Ponderay Mountain Lodge

The staff were really nice and accommodating, and breakfast was good with hot coffee each morning. The hotel is just off the highway, with a nice restaurant within walking distance. I was here for work and would stay again if I’m in the area.

Our room was spacious and clean, and there’s a pool and hot tub, so it worked well for the family. Getting in and out was easy, and there’s great dining right in front of the building.

Breakfast was nice, but it didn’t make up for the rest of the stay. After a whole night awake with a constant humming noise in our room, the desk clerk said it came from a 30’ hot water tank above us. No apology or offer to move us, just, “yep, it’s the hot water tank.” We came back after a day exploring and the room hadn’t been cleaned. The bed was still unmade, and our used towels were left on the bathroom floor. I was amazed by how little service we got and how poor the customer service at the front desk was. I can’t recommend this place at all.

The cleanliness and friendly service make this the best hotel in Ponderay for me. The staff are some of the friendliest and most helpful I’ve come across, and the place is clean. Breakfast is fabulous too. Best Western goes above and beyond.
