The staff were great, the room was clean and fairly modern, and it was quiet where we stayed. We got a handicap room even though we didn’t need one. It was larger and had a big walk in shower. The continental breakfast was good, with cereal, waffles, fruit, and different breads, though waffles were the only hot food. I’d rather stay somewhere without carpet, since a lot of places are switching to hardwood or laminate. We were visiting Savannah Georgia on December 5 and chose the Microtel in Savanah/Pool. It was about 25 minutes to the river block area. I’d have liked to be closer, but most downtown hotels Near Riverwalk cost twice as much. We paid $85 plus taxes and have no reason not to stay there again.

There’s no elevator, but my husband uses a wheelchair and they always put us on the first floor. We usually come in the off season, though, so I’m not sure they’d be as able to accommodate that during vacation season. The room was clean and quiet, with comfortable mattresses. There’s no table for eating, and no coffee in the room, but the front desk made me a fresh cup when I asked. We watched the Super Bowl, and the channel was fuzzy, but I was glad we could watch. Breakfast is continental. It’s worth the money, and I’ll stay again.

The room was clean and everything worked, which made this a good stop to rest before another long day of driving. The night staff were polite and helpful when we checked in late, and the morning crew were just as friendly, especially with the continental breakfast. We were very satisfied with our stay.

If you’re traveling with pets, don’t stay here. We brought our 10lb dog for a concert weekend. Right after checking in, we went out for dinner and got a call saying she was barking and we had to come get her. The attendant said someone had to stay with her at all times or take her along. I explained we had an expensive concert Saturday night and couldn’t do that. He got angry and threw a tantrum. I called the hotel next door, but apparently they’re related. It was too late to book a Vrbo, so now I’m out the ticket money and had to dog sit for the whole trip. We take her places, but we like to go out for good seafood too. None of these rules are explained online, where it only says they’re pet friendly. That definitely wasn’t the case for us. They hate pets here. I’m currently in contact with my attorney to see about rectifying this error on their behalf. And the breakfast is horrible.
