Hilton Garden Inn at PGA Village / Port St. Lucie

Our birthday weekend stay was fine until the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. Everyone came down to the lobby, where a woman ahead of me asked for water. The employee charged her for it, even though guests had been evacuated. The way staff handled the situation was awful, and they couldn’t even offer complimentary water. The next morning another employee said someone would contact us about making it right. I emailed the manager, but three weeks later I still hadn’t heard from anyone. Hilton can do better. Very disappointed.

We only stayed one weekday night, but it was comfortable throughout. The room was clean and quiet, the front desk staff were lovely, and there’s plenty of shopping nearby. I’d stay again. Thanks for the hospitality, Hilton Garden Inn.

We came for business, checked in late, and stayed two nights. The night staff were amazing, and the morning waitress was great too, though I’ve forgotten her name. My experience with Ms Nancy or Ms Dancy during the day was very different. She seemed annoyed right away, held out her hand for my key without saying anything, and I felt she was discriminating against me because of my tattoos. She asked a lot of personal questions about why I needed a late checkout, which felt very unprofessional. My girlfriend is a Diamond member and called her afterward, and the desk clerk’s attitude changed. We don’t appreciate being judged on appearance before I’d even said two words. Please ask her to leave that attitude at home. Maybe customer service isn’t her calling. We won’t stay here again, even though we spend a quarter of the year at Hilton properties. Thanks for the profiling and prejudging.

There’s nothing special about this hotel, and I wouldn’t spend $300 a night to stay here. I’m a Gold member, and this was my third week at a Hilton property. Hilton and Hampton used to be not too bad. The bedding and carpet look like they could be 20 years old. You might as well save your money and stay at a Motel 6.
