Good value and very clean, with no odors. The lobby is great, and the continental breakfast had a pancake maker plus a couple of microwaveable options with protein. Thank you! I woke up a few times to semis using their jake-brakes as they came into town, so earplugs would've helped. Aside from that, it was nice, quiet, and pleasant.

They used my wife's cell number instead of the one I'd given when I called in August to reserve, so calls that should've come to me went to her. Someone refused my credit card when they tried to confirm it, but it wasn't my cardholder. I called and learned I had more than $4000 in my account. At least they found us a room for tonight at the Sands Motel here in Portales, and Sands agreed to put my wife and me up both tonight and tomorrow.

The check-in area was crowded and extremely noisy, but the gentleman got us into our room within minutes. The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Having a kitchenette was a nice extra, though I didn't need it on this trip. The water pressure was great and it got hot quickly. We left just before breakfast, hoping to grab some juice on the way out. The fridge was locked, though I could see milk, OJ, and apple juice inside. I also saw cold cereal but didn't look at what else was offered.
