Comfort Inn Portland

The room was clean, a standard size, and the service was fine. I stayed two nights and had a good visit. They had breakfast to go, though I left early and didn’t try it. It’s a long way from downtown, but the light rail makes getting there easy. I used transit to explore all over the city, so the distance didn’t bother me. For a much lower price than downtown hotels, this was a good value for me.

The staff really made our stay. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and they took care of the few small issues quickly. We spent two weeks in Portland after coming from Utah, and the hotel felt comfortable and safe. The rooms and building were clean and well maintained, with comfy beds and what looked like updated interiors. I’d happily stay here again if I’m back in the area. Thanks for a great experience!

This was my third stay, and I used to like how easy it was to get to the airport. I won’t be back. The second floor reeked of weed even though the rooms are supposed to be non-smoking, and now all my clothes smell like a skunk got into my suitcase. The place feels lawless, and there are homeless people everywhere. I was relieved my car wasn’t in the parking lot. The person who checked me in was busy hanging out with her boyfriend and acted like I was bothering her. The staff seem like they don’t care anymore because they can’t enforce rules. I’ve stayed here twice before, about two months apart, and the ice machine still doesn’t work. Seriously, it’s an ice machine.

I sleep really well here, and the beds are comfy and clean. The rooms have an updated look, though I miss the Jacuzzis that used to be in a few of them. I think they’ve removed them all. There’s some minor remodeling going on, but you’d hardly notice. The maids do a good, efficient job and are accommodating without getting in your way. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, though one woman on the swing shift can get overwhelmed and has an attitude. I book online to save money and earn Choice Rewards points, so I don’t have to deal with her much. Prices are consistently fair. I’ll be glad when the indoor pool and hot tub reopen.
