There’s a deck overlooking the water and a couple of fishing spots reserved for guests, and the staff were polite and friendly. The first room had black mold, but the front desk moved me to one that had just been painted. This is an original Motel 6 that’s showing its age. It worked for one night since I couldn’t drive any farther, but I wouldn’t bring my kids here.

I had to buy cleaning supplies just to get through the night we’d already paid for. The bedding was stained, the shower curtain looked ancient, and the bathroom reeked of urine. The whole place was filthy. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all.

There were bloody fingerprints all over the bathroom, the walls were really dirty, and the floors clearly hadn’t been swept or mopped in a long time. Housekeeping seems to just make the beds and leave towels, without cleaning anything.

The staff are always very nice, and they’re continually upgrading something at this location. If people are unhappy with it, remember that rooms right downtown on the bay run anywhere from $150.00 to $1000.00 a night. You’re welcome to book there instead. 😎✌️

Roaches come out at night, and the rooms are in really bad shape: broken door jams and thresholds, un-mopped floors, a grimy tub, and a freezer coated in yellow ice. I saw no sign of housekeeping. The lobby was filthy and grimy too. This place has potential, but it’s not maintained, and I can’t recommend it.
