Violet Suites PDX

Violet Suites is our usual place whenever we're in Portland, and we love the rooms and location. The secure parking is a real bonus. This visit had one small snag: we ran out of the partial toilet paper roll and couldn't find any extra in the room.

The kids loved the spa tub with its colored lights, and the adults were especially happy with the steam shower, heated floors, and towel racks. Our 3 BR/2BA suite had enough room for four adults and two lively kids, ages 2.5 and 5.5. We also appreciated the fireplace, high ceilings, closet space, and noise insulation. The kitchen was stocked with appliances, dishes, flatware, glasses, and coffee mugs, though it didn't have a mixer. We could've used a few plastic cups and plates for the kids.

The Ospray suite was clean, with cozy, comfortable bedding, and the parking felt very secure. I stayed one night and was pleasantly surprised by how much larger it was than the photos suggested. Having a kitchen was nice too.

We stayed in the Osprey Suite, which worked especially well after my recent knee surgery. There was lots of room in the bathroom, with grab bars by the toilet and in the shower. The space was quiet, and we didn't see other guests during our stay. It felt well laid out and equipped for a longer visit. The secured parking and entry codes also made us feel our vehicle and belongings were safe. The neighborhood looked very walkable, with restaurants, bars, and groceries a few blocks away, though I couldn't explore much on foot. The full kitchen let us cook several meals after we had groceries delivered from Safeway through DoorDash. The Focacceria's pizza and tiramisu are worth trying. Booking was easy, and Kathryn called promptly to check in and confirm she'd noted our special request. She was quick and kind whenever we contacted her. We'd happily stay again at Violet Suites PDX.
