Everhome Suites Portsmouth - Newington by Choice Hotels

We were in town for a family reunion and came away very pleased. The staff were friendly, and our room was especially clean and well above average. It had a three-quarter-size fridge and freezer, a small stove, and wall controls for the heat and air conditioning. An air fryer or slow cooker can be requested, too. We had a busy schedule and didn’t think to take pictures. I’ll definitely look into other Everhome locations.

The little details made this stop on our road trip stand out. There was separate facial soap and body soap, and two soap holders in the tub, which worked well for two people. The hotel was clean, the room was thoughtfully stocked, and the layout felt well planned. We usually book four-star places, so we didn’t expect much from a two-star hotel, but this was better than the two- or three-star places I’ve tried. The staff were polite and friendly. I’d give it five stars.

We were able to get the bracelet I’d left behind after Monday’s checkout, thanks to the front desk staff. They first checked the room and didn’t spot it, then came down to ask where else it might be. A little later they called to say it was wedged in the sofa crack, a spot I hadn’t thought of. I’m very grateful, since the bracelets mean a lot to me. The room itself was new and nice. There were racks for personal belongings, and a stove with pots and utensils, which I didn’t use but liked as a way to make the trip feel more homey. Walmart and restaurants are very close by.

Cindy and the front desk team made us feel welcome and were really helpful. We had our dog with us, and they found us a first-floor room. The hotel is brand new, everything was clean and nicely appointed, and the bed was comfortable. I agree with others that firmer pillows would be a good option. We’ll be back.
