Hampton Inn Presque Isle Maine

My mother was hospitalized, so I tried to cancel 48 hours before the stay. They told me I couldn’t because the reservation had been made through a third party. I’d called the number shown on the Hampton Inn PI Maine website after finding it on Google, and was told I could cancel within 24 hours. As a longtime Hampton Inn/Hilton member, I’m extremely disappointed. If third parties can book rooms, they should follow your cancellation policy. I won’t make another Hampton Inn/Hilton reservation.

Brenda in the dining area really made the stay for us. She was so kind and caring, and her friendliness made Hilton shine. The rest of the staff were lovely too. We were there for three nights on a business trip, and the rooms were excellent and breakfast was awesome. We loved our stay.

Cleanliness was my main worry before arriving, since I haven’t had great experiences at Hampton Inn before. This one was very clean, and the rooms were nice and tidy. The staff welcomed us warmly, gave us helpful information, and checked us in quickly. For the price, it turned out to be a surprisingly good stay, better than most Hampton Inns I’ve visited.

The front desk gentleman was expecting me when my late flight arrived, and I felt especially welcome at the hotel. People at the airport had been kind too. The town is tiny and not very lively, but everyone was friendly. My room was spacious and clean, and I’d recommend the property to anyone passing through or visiting the area.
