Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Princeton

We’ve been Marriott customers exclusively for 30 years, but we won’t stay at this Fairfield Inn again when we travel this way. We brought our two pets on the first visit and were charged $75. On the return trip, we were charged twice as much. I called before the first booking and was told the fee was $75, and the website still says there’s a $75 cleaning fee per night. Nobody told us the charge had changed or that it was $75 per pet. After four days of calls without a return call from the GM, a desk employee said he had spoken with the GM and confirmed the per-pet fee. I was told nothing could be done. The general manager never called back or got on the phone with me. We’ve never been charged double before. Beware if you’re traveling with two pets. This isn’t the Marriott service we’re used to.

The drive to Winterplace was easy, about 20 minutes, and there were no tolls. We were in town to snowboard, and this hotel suited the trip well. Our room was quiet, cozy, comfortable, and clean, and seemed to have been updated within the last 5-10 years. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was basic, with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, bagels and similar choices, but it was hot, tasty, and hit the spot before we headed out. There are lots of fast food places nearby. We’d gladly come back and recommend it.

Breakfast was outstanding, and the woman running it deserves a big shout out. She was as pleasant as your grandmother on Christmas morning. We arrived late and they made things easy for us. The room was very clean. The elevators could use some attention, though with so much traffic it was understandable. Thanks for a great stay on 12.28.2025.

We stopped here overnight to split up a long drive. The lot was well lit, and the hotel seemed well cared for. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was solid, especially the many toppings for the oatmeal, which I really enjoyed.
