Jillian at the front desk made my first visit to Rhode Island start on a wonderful note. She was warm and professional from the moment I checked in this morning, and what stood out was how attentively she listened to each guest’s requests and did her best to help, with patience and sincerity. Her calm, supportive manner made check-in pleasant and smooth. She clearly takes pride in her work and cares about giving good service. I hope the hotel recognizes her professionalism and dedication.

A nice enough stay in a suitable downtown hotel, with a clean, fairly standard room and basic furnishings. The price felt like a lot for an experience that wasn’t special. Housekeeping also came surprisingly early, at 9am. Parking was our biggest issue: valet was the only option at the hotel and cost $45 overnight, or we could self-park in the mall garage for $25 overnight.

The capital view is amazing, and it’s a beautiful hotel. Bill at the front desk was amazing, too. The Marriott Club, though, was pretty ehhhh: at 5:30 pm it had only cheese and fruit, plus soda, coffee, and water. Disappointing at best, and the service in the club wasn’t great.

We chose this hotel on a whim after a long day of travel, and they were able to give us an early check-in. We asked for a room with a Capitol view and got a wonderful one. The in-house restaurant was great, too. We were there on Christmas day, and the staff working that day were top notch. There’s an awesome mall just down the block with plenty of shops and a movie theater. After we left, my Wife and I kept talking about how great the stay was. Thanks for the Christmas memories!

The living area was really cozy and comfortable, and the bed was freshly made. The AC and heat worked amazingly. I do wish there were more plugs, though, and the trash barrel was so small it filled up after a bottle or two of water.
