Christopher's by the Bay

The back courtyard is full of lovely flowers and plants, with plenty of tables and chairs where guests can have breakfast. Parking is available off the street in the driveway, and I left my car there except for the beach. Commercial Street is an easy walk, and the town center is less than five minutes away. David and Jim are wonderful hosts. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, each named for an artist, and mine had a large private bath. Christopher's is tastefully decorated, including a cozy sitting room overlooking Johnson Street. I’d highly recommend Christopher's by the Bay for the relaxing stay, warm hospitality, and easy access to shops, restaurants, and attractions.

Jim and David were excellent hosts and very accommodating. We enjoyed the great breakfast and the pretty patio and garden out back. The location is convenient for Commercial Street, while still feeling quiet and relaxing. The only thing that bothered us was the lack of air conditioning in the bathrooms and around the rest of the house. It got hot and uncomfortable at times, though our bedroom did have AC.

I liked the place enough to book another trip, after first staying here a few years ago. The hosts are friendly and dedicated, and breakfast was terrific. The rooms are charming, clean, and gorgeous. I peeked into nearly all of them, and they’d all be lovely for a getaway. I moved to a larger room because I wasn’t sure which one to choose from the website. I really like this house and will keep coming back to Provincetown whenever I can.

The courtyard is especially inviting, and there’s nothing pretentious about the place. It’s easy to kick back and enjoy Ptown here. I’ve just finished my fourth stay at Christoper's by the Bay, and I love the location, accommodations, owners, and staff. As a solo traveler, I also appreciate the affordable third-floor rooms. It’s got everything that makes a stay feel like quintessential Ptown.
