The worst problem came after checkout: even though I’d prepaid the reservation through Chase Travel, the hotel charged my card an extra "cleaning fee." The staff seemed untrained and didn’t understand prepaid bookings made through a third party. Communication was a mess throughout. They use chat, but replies weren’t reliable. They said they’d send check-in details before I arrived, but never did, so I had to chase them. Later I had a question and got an automated message saying the front desk was closed, along with a phone number. That number didn’t work. This didn’t feel like a proper hotel with standard hospitality service. It came across as an unstaffed, poorly managed motel, and I highly recommend staying somewhere else.

We booked one night at Foxberry Inn in Provincetown, MA through Expedia after reading positive reviews. We appreciated being allowed to park early, but the place is entirely contactless, with no staff on site and everything handled through automated messages. Check-in was supposed to be at 4:00 p.m. The cleaning staff were still working when we arrived, and we didn’t get our room number and access code until around 4:20. The room looked fine at first, then the shower turned out to have almost no water pressure, just a drip rather than a proper flow. Someone happened to be nearby when we reported it and said we could move rooms by the time we got back from dinner. We returned around 8:00 p.m. to find another room ready, and the shower there worked properly. At checkout we got a message saying they would charge another $55 in taxes for the Cape Cod and Islands Water Pollution Fund Tax, state tax, and local tax. Expedia had already shown us a total that, in our experience, included taxes and fees. We disputed the extra amount and they eventually agreed to remove it. The whole billing situation felt questionable and left a bad impression. Many of the positive reviews seem to be more than two years old. The property may now have new ownership or management and have recently reopened, which could explain the gap between those reviews and our experience. I’d research carefully before booking, and hope management improves the conditions, communication, and billing.

Jay and Cody were such a big part of our stay. They were friendly, attentive, and amazing with our group of seven. We had rooms 9, 10, and 11, and all were very clean. The keyless room access was handy, and the rooms had shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and body wash for anyone who forgot theirs. The outdoor area was kept neat and clean, and it was a lovely place to lounge and eat breakfast. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and the daily fresh cookies at snack time were a hit with everyone in our group. Foxberry Inn is about a mile from Commercial street, which suited us: near enough, but away from the busiest area. It’s close to the beach and still walkable if you’re up for a nice stroll. We’re planning to make this an annual trip. 100/10, we’ll be back. Thanks, Foxberry Team! 💜🥰

After a beach or hiking day, the new terrace attached to our room was a great place to relax, and it was roomy too. The breakfasts were great, and everything was impressively clean. The owners were wonderful and the staff were awesome. Our room/suite had been beautifully redone. It’s an easy walk into town along the quieter stretch of Commercial St. before you reach the busy area. Go, go, go. Staying here made our time in Provincetown even more enjoyable.

I haven’t felt this relaxed in so long. I have an energetic toddler and rarely manage to nap, but here I was so comfortable I could hardly stay awake. The outdoor area was lovely, and my husband and I ate the amazing breakfast outside both mornings since the weather was perfect. The owners were welcoming, and the housekeeper was sweet. This place is a gem. We’ll stay here again! 🤍
