Springhill Suites by Marriott Pueblo Downtown

The room was clean and quiet, the hallways seemed clean, and everything was in good repair. We had all the necessities and felt pretty safe, considering this part of town can be a bit dodgy. Our king suite was a good value, with two king beds and a full sofa bed in the other part of the room. I'd stay here again, but the sofa bed is VERY uncomfortable, so don't put anyone on it who really cares about a comfortable night's sleep. It seemed like one person was covering the front desk for a big hotel, with no other staff around most of the time.

Rooms were laid out nicely and clean enough to be comfortable. There's a pool on site, though I couldn't find it advertised anywhere, so bring your suit :-) The staff were friendly and accommodating. Chantel was especially nice to talk to and an excellent host.

The internet was horrible, which was the one sore spot. Still, I found the stay great overall, the price was reasonable compared with other Pueblo places, and it was far cleaner. I stayed for two months and was treated with the greatest respect. The staff were outstanding, and the cleaning crew were wonderful, though some more attention to detail on cleaning is needed. Breakfast had scrambled eggs that were sometimes a little too cooked, sausage, oatmeal with spices and berries to add, boiled eggs, waffles, juices, and much-needed morning coffee. I'll miss staying there. God bless the staff.

The room layout for a king suite was spacious and comfortable, and the beds and pillows were great, as you'd expect at a Marriott. The front desk staff were very nice, and breakfast offered fairly good choices. My favorite was the oatmeal, so it was especially disappointing that it was watery and flavorless. The room itself gets a low rating from me because black and orange mold was growing in the bathroom, and the shower and tub had several broken tiles and missing grout. The floors were dirty too. There was dirt and debris packed along the threshold between bathroom and carpet, which made it clear the vacuum had gone over the floors quickly without cleaning the cracks and crevices.
