The AC was broken, the toilet didn't work, and a power outage left the Wi-Fi down for two days. My room wasn't cleaned all week. The first time I saw the cleaning crew was an hour before checkout, when they barged in while I was naked, even though I had the "Do not disturb" sign on the door. Awful experience.

My fiancé and I stayed here for New Year's Eve. That night, Sierra, I believe that was her name, told us breakfast would be served from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. We went down at 8:00, but there was no breakfast. When we asked the front desk, they said, "Uhhh, they got the day off." If we'd known there wouldn't be breakfast, we would have stayed somewhere else. It was an amenity we paid for, and I feel this was unfair, especially since we were told breakfast would be available.

I left my Apple Watch behind after checkout, and Alex at the front desk confirmed he'd found it. But when I went to pick it up, it wasn't in the bag they had waiting for me. No one is calling me back or helping me, so I'll be filing a police report. I'd suggest staying somewhere else. I was only in town because my mom was on life support, and this was the last thing I needed.

My first stay here was great, but each visit since then has been worse. I don't think I'll come back. The rooms are the most updated of the three Marriotts in Pueblo, but the service has put me off for good. On my first visit, they thanked me for being Platinum and upgraded me to a corner bedroom suite on the top floor. That's been in my preferences for 20 years. Everything smelled like brand new construction. A few months ago, though, nobody recognized my status or offered an upgrade. Fine, not the end of the world. The younger man at the desk seemed like he couldn't care less about his job or customer satisfaction. I was put on the second floor instead of the top, which was fine. I'm not one to complain. But the hallway reeked of BO, and the room smelled kind of like herbal cleaning products or spices. It was summer in Pueblo, and the wall thermostat for the AC was broken. The phone didn't work either, so I couldn't call the same front desk guy. I went down to report it, and he said he'd send someone. We were trying to check in and meet friends for lunch, so after 25 minutes I came back downstairs to ask about maintenance. He said they shared a maintenance person, who'd get there when he could. I was pretty sure the guy would've barely reacted if I'd walked into traffic. Maintenance eventually arrived, and he was lovely. He got everything working. Nothing else really stood out during the rest of that stay. I most recently checked in on Thanksgiving. They were minimally staffed, understandably, so no big deal. A very kind woman came to the desk and seemed new, since she was struggling with the prompts, but she was still pleasant. The man helping her was a bit dry, perhaps a supervisor or manager. She did thank me for my status, but again there was no upgrade. The parking lot was emptier than I've ever seen it, nowhere near full. I didn't ask for an upgrade because I was just there to sleep and wanted to get to dinner. They gave me a room on the first floor, street side. I'm such a light sleeper that even sirens and people screaming outside were a problem, and being eight feet from the sidewalk didn't help. The noise from someone stomping, trudging, and slamming around upstairs woke me half a dozen times. They can't control sirens, screaming pedestrians, or a bear staying on the second floor, but being on the fourth floor would have kept me from hearing the pounding on the ceiling. This lack of care is why I'm done coming back. Their loss. I'm in Pueblo a lot and usually only write five-star reviews, but I've been burned here too many times.
