We chose this place for the location, which was perfect, but cleanliness was the one redeeming thing we didn’t find. Within minutes, we spotted a brown-stained towel, dead bugs on the upstairs bed, dirty wine glasses, a used K-cup still in the Keurig, dusty ceiling fans, big dust bunnies under the bed, an unopened bag of Cheetos, and what looked like pizza sauce on the nightstand. There were cat or small-dog paw prints on one bedsheet, so we wondered if the bedding had been changed. The bathroom wall even had boogers with hair stuck to them. Every room seemed to turn up another surprise. I don’t expect a rental to be spotless, but I do expect it to be cleaned between guests. From what we saw, it seemed as if a thorough cleaning might happen only every 10 stays or so.
