Econo Lodge Glens Falls / Lake George

The front desk staff were nice, but the cleanliness was worse than anything I've seen. In our room, there was toothpaste on the curtain and shower grip, food stains on the curtain by the window, sticky stuff on the dresser, and stains on the sheets. We called to ask for another room and checked the one across the hall. There was a used bar of soap in the shower and mold in the fridge, so we stayed in our original room. My best friend and I were in town for Lake George and stayed one night. I don't usually write reviews, but this place needs to clean properly. I wouldn't recommend it, and it's not worth your time.

The breakfast was the weak point. It was mostly muffins, juice, and coffee, and the muffins weren't something I wanted to touch. They had a waffle maker, like you often see at hotels with continental breakfast, but keep your expectations for the food pretty low. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the front desk person was friendly, informative, and helpful when we arrived. The location and price were good, and it was quiet at night, making it a decent place for an overnight stay.

The front office staff member was condescending and eventually wouldn't answer my questions, even though I stayed calm and polite. I've never been treated so rudely. You couldn't pay me to stay here.

My vehicle broke down on the way from NYC to Northern QC, and I needed somewhere with a warm, clean bed at a decent price. This place fit the bill. The rooms are very clean, it's quiet, and it's affordable. There's really nothing wrong with it. I didn't need much service, so I can't say a lot about that, but the desk gave good advice about nearby restaurants and other services. I hope I never have to stay again, since I hope my vehicle doesn't break down like that again. But if it happens to you, I highly recommend it.
