Wake Inn

I was in room #208 asleep when a roach crawled on me and woke me up. I was furious. They moved me to another room, but there was a big hole in the bathroom wall and the towels were dirty. I went for a cheap place and learned that cheap isn't always the answer. They need to shut this hotel down.

The bed had hair on it, the chair was stained, and we saw a roach. The pillows were cheap and the towels were paper-thin. This place was horrible, and I'd tell people from out of town to avoid it. A notice at the front desk said guests could check out within 10 minutes. I looked around, immediately asked for a refund, and said I wanted to leave. The desk worker refused because I'd booked online, even though I hadn't paid online and the notice said a refund was available within 10 minutes. Thank goodness the Hilton had a room available.

We checked in, but the doors wouldn't open, so they moved us to another room. The TV there didn't work, and it had bed bugs. We left and drove 3.5 hours back home, missing a concert. There were also lots of people sitting on the ground outside the motel. I wouldn't advise anyone to stay here. It didn't feel safe at all.

The staff weren't bad, but when I reported roaches in the room, I didn't want to hear, "you are going to get those." The first bed had dirty sheets, and the second bed's sheets were stained. The covers were torn or cut and had burn holes. Whatever the price, a place where I sleep should at least feel comfortable and decent. Unless you need somewhere immediately, I wouldn't choose this hotel, motel, or whatever it is. I don't recommend it.
